CRAFTED FOR LIFE ON THE WATER
Overlooking the harbor in Stonington, Connecticut, the pavilion at the Wadawanuck Club reflects more than a century of coastal tradition and community life. Long known as a gathering place for families drawn to sailing and the understated elegance of waterfront living, the club continues that legacy through spaces designed for connection, activity, and celebration.
Constructed by The R D Wood Group, the pavilion was thoughtfully designed to support the club’s vibrant sailing program while providing a welcoming setting for social gatherings and seasonal events. Its architecture follows the natural curve of the shoreline, opening to sweeping harbor views and creating a series of light-filled spaces that connect effortlessly to the outdoors.
Exposed timber framing and carefully crafted structural details highlight the artistry of the building itself. The result is a pavilion that feels timeless and authentic—an enduring place where members gather, celebrate, and experience the beauty of life on the water.
